Your records.
Your control.

Renuary is a local-first subscription, renewal and prepaid-credit tracker. This policy explains the app and this public website.

Last updated: 6 September 2026

Records on your device

The app stores the records you enter on your device: subscriptions, costs, currencies, dates, balance check-ins, categories, family-member names, payment-method labels and notes. You do not create a Renuary account. We do not run a Renuary server that collects those records.

Keep passwords and full payment-card details out of notes. Renuary is a tracker, not a password manager, bank connection or payment processor.

Photos and icons

If you choose a family photo or a service icon, the app processes it into a small square image and stores a local copy. The image picker accesses the file you select. Cross-device image sync has not been verified for the current beta; do not rely on it as a backup.

Optional Google Drive sync

Google Drive sync is optional and is disabled in the current native beta builds. Local tracking does not require Google sign-in.

When available and enabled, Renuary uses Google sign-in and the limited drive.file permission to manage files it creates or that you explicitly make available to it. It does not request unrestricted access to every file in your Drive. Records and associated images are intended to be stored in a Renuary Data folder in your Google Drive, rather than on a Renuary-operated server.

When you choose to share a household folder, its contents are available to the people you authorise through Google Drive. Sharing involves their email address and Google’s sharing service. Only share a folder with people you trust.

Google account information and Google user data are used to provide sign-in, sync and the sharing you request. We do not sell that data, use it for advertising or use it to train general-purpose AI models. Renuary’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Exchange rates

When currency conversion needs a current rate and the device is online, Renuary can request rates from Frankfurter. The request includes the currency codes being converted, not your amounts, record names or household details. Like any internet service, the provider receives connection information such as your IP address. Rates are cached locally and displayed with their date.

Notifications and purchases

On supported native builds, reminders use your device’s local notification system and its permissions. A home-screen widget, where installed, reads a small summary from shared local device storage. Neither is a website feature.

Public purchases are not available from this website. The planned optional one-time mobile upgrade will use the relevant app store once purchases are available. The store handles payment; Renuary does not receive your full card details. Store testing and distribution are also subject to Apple’s or Google’s own privacy policies.

This website

This is a static information website hosted on Cloudflare Pages. We have not added analytics, advertising, tracking scripts, cookies or contact forms. Fonts and images are served from this website. Cloudflare may process normal request information, such as IP addresses and browser details, to deliver and protect the website under its privacy policy. This website cannot read records stored in the Renuary app.

If you contact support

If you email renuary@elks.co, we receive your address and anything you include, and use it to respond and investigate your request. Please send only the details needed and remove personal information from screenshots. Support correspondence is kept as needed to handle the request and any necessary follow-up. You can ask us to delete it.

Deleting data and disconnecting

Deleting a record removes its contents from the active record and retains a minimal deletion marker so sync can avoid bringing it back. Associated images and existing backups may remain separately stored. Clearing app storage removes local data, subject to any device backups; it does not delete separate Google Drive copies.

If you have used sync, you can revoke Renuary’s access in your Google Account and separately manage or delete the Renuary Data folder in Google Drive, including its trash and sharing permissions. Disconnect sync on your devices before clearing data if you want to avoid later re-importing an existing copy.

Questions and updates

Contact renuary@elks.co for privacy questions or requests. We will update this page when the app’s data practices change and show the revision date above.
